Magical Marketing Company, ProjectO and Plastic Bank are partnering in this effort to prevent over 1 million plastic bottles from entering the ocean where it can harm the wildlife and environment. Plastic accumulating in our oceans, beaches and waterways has become a global crisis. Billions of pounds of plastic can be found in swirling convergences that make up about 40 percent of the world’s ocean surfaces. The solution is Social Plastic®.

Through our project, we will assist Plastic Bank in empowering entrepreneurial collectors in areas overrun by plastic (such as Haiti where the signature project was launched). These collectors can double or triple their income by gathering plastic from trash heaps, beaches and businesses in their locale.

We are helping to turn throw-away plastic into a global currency that can lift people out of poverty while preventing tons of plastic waste from polluting our precious oceans.
